Maplelawn Gardens is a 19th century walled garden in the neighbourhood of Westboro in Ottawa. It’s one of the hidden gems of the city and a rare example of a European walled garden in Canada that some houses used to have. Maplelawn was the former farming estate of the Thomson family and is now owned by the National Capital Commission (NCC) and houses The Keg restaurant. If you’re really going to go to The Keg this is the one to go to because the house itself is still really beautiful as an example of British classicism architecture.
