With most things still closed in Ottawa this spring due to the pandemic I tried to enjoy spending time outside, which for me means photographing all the flowers. So here are some shots of spring in Ottawa.
Tulips bloomed early this year and everyone was excited for spring to arrive, which meant big crowds around Dow’s Lake where most of the tulips are. I managed to visit early a few morning to get some pretty shots.

The crabapples, along with pretty much every other flower were early too and they bloomed a bit unevenly but I managed to enjoy them still. Although I enjoy beautiful cloudless days it does make it hard to photograph the flowers though.

Now for some peonies!

With the hot, humid and dry weather we had for most of May and even into early June the roses were hard to capture at their peak but hopefully I’ll be able to catch them again later in the summer since they continue to bloom. I managed to see a lot at the Ornamental Gardens but missed most of them at Rideau Hall’s lovely rose garden.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get out more this summer around Ottawa to continue to see the blooms. I’m also planning a little trip to see a beautiful garden in Quebec so stay tuned for that next month.

Very pretty/beautiful pictures!
