Spring in Ottawa

With most things still closed in Ottawa this spring due to the pandemic I tried to enjoy spending time outside, which for me means photographing all the flowers. So here are some shots of spring in Ottawa.

Springtime in Ottawa is one of the best seasons when all the flowers start to bloom and it finally feels like winter is over. It may take a bit of time for it to finally happen and there may be a number of rainy and cold days but when the sun comes out Ottawa shines. The annual Canadian Tulip Festival is the star of the spring season in Ottawa with thousands of tulips blooming through out the city.

Merry Christmas!

Ottawa, Personal

Merry Christmas!

There are so many wonderful things about the holiday season and I love all my old and new Christmas traditions. Baking cookies, picking out a Christmas tree and decorating it with family (although we tend to go fake these days), seeing the Christmas lights around the city, big family dinners, making and decorating gingerbread houses, listening to Christmas music and watching some of my favourite Christmas movies like Elf, Holiday Inn and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Flowers are my favourite part about spring and summer and we’re lucky in Ottawa to have a few places right in the middle of the city where you can see gorgeous blooms from tulips and roses to lilacs and sunflowers. The best place for flowers and one of my favourite places in all of Ottawa is the Central Experimental Farm
